Poundon House is the family home to the Roscoe's. The house is situated between Bicester and Buckingham overlooking unspoilt countryside. The house, which was built at the turn of the century (in Sandstone from the quarry at Eydon near Banbury) in the Queen Anne style, was designed by a follower of Lutyens and has a Palladian approach. It provides a very private area to hold events.
In 1939 the house was requisitioned for the war by the Foreign and Colonial Office, and formed a part of the huge effort to break the Engima Code.
